• will has a free period where he helps out in the nurse’s office and its right around lunchtime which is coincidentally when nico gets in the most fights
• so will and nico bond in the nurse’s office but they never really interact outside of there
• One time will is out past curfew at a study group and comes across nico getting beaten up in an alley so he’s like “hey get out of here, my mom’s the sheriff!” so they run off and will drags nico back to his house
• They sit in the bathroom while will bandages nico’s wounds and asks him what happened and nicos like “one of those guys found out i slept with his brother like 2 months ago and had to beat somebody up for being gay i guess”
• will’s like “i had no idea you were” and mentions that hes kinda afraid to come out to his mom bc he doesnt know how she’ll take it and long story short they end up making out in the bathroom unitl will’s mom gets home and will has to sneak nico out before his mom finds them
• they talk a little more during and whenever will knows that his mom is working nico drive him home on his rusty old motorcycle and they hang out until the sheriff’s shift ends
• One time will gets a text from nico telling him to sneak out and meet up with him but will’s like “i cant my mom is home” so nico shows up like an hour later and start throwing rocks at his window and then climbs up one of those garden grid things and through the window and will has to shove nico into his closet when his mom comes upstairs to see what all that noise was
• When will opens up the closet door nico makes some kind of comment about being in the closet ofc
• nico sleeps over and thats how they get caught wills mom “forbids” will from seeing him again but that just means they sneak around a lot
• so then one time the sheriff gets a call from the hospital bc two kids got in a fight so the sheriff’s like “ok i’ll send one of my deputies to handle it” and the nurse or whoever is like “no u gotta come one of them is your son” which naomi solace knows for a fact that that is not her son bc it is far past his curfew thanks but she goes anyway
• will’s got a few cuts and bruises and a broken arm and hes crying in the waiting room bc nicos in a lot worse shape bc he basically used his own body to shield will
• naomi realizes bc of this that nicos not actually that bad of a kid and tells will hes allowed to see nico again and wills kinda like “well thats not my biggest concern rn considering i was seeing him anyway but thanks i guess”

dont worry nicos fine but like the list had to end somewhere
