Okay that last person can fuck themselves with a cactus k. There’s a difference between homophobic Straight People and straight people who are just minding their own business and supportive of their gay friends. There’s a difference between racist White People and white people who are just minding their own business and don’t judge based upon the color of someone’s skin. While there’s definitely some oppression of these groups (work and housing discrimination is still legal to some degree in most states, conversion therapy is only banned in a handful of places for gay people. The justice system is seriously biased against black men, to the point where it feels like an epidemic), but not being oppressed DOES NOT equate to privilege. So uh… not all straight people, not all white people. Fuck you and goodnight.
every single white person benefits from the oppression of black people. if two people, one white and one black, are trying for the same job, the white person has an advantage because we live in a racist society. it doesnt matter if they themselves are actively racist.

im begging you people to just exercise some critical thinking skills. its not that difficult of a concept.
That example is a flawed one because race is not the only factor. If that’s true, why do black people have any jobs at all, if a white person could’ve been hired instead? Qualifications and class actually hold weight. But for sake of this, let’s assume two people have the exact same qualifications. An employer might choose the person with the “white sounding name” as opposed to someone with a “black sounding name.” This is oftentimes because “black” names are associated with impoverished areas, and thus, they’re assumed to be less intelligent or educated or qualified. Is this racist? Yes, sure. But this is the fault of the employer, not the person with the white sounding name. Being given a job based upon merit rather than assumed race/class is the base line. It’s what to be expected. It’s bare minimum. Bare minimum isn’t privilege. Bare minimum is bare minimum. It’s expectation.
Same with straight and cis people. And I am neither of these things let’s just get that out of the way. Just because straight and cis people have the bare minimum doesn’t make them privileged.
And male privilege is the biggest load of absolute horse shit I’ve ever heard in my life. Men’s suicide rates are astronomically higher than women’s. Men are often denied custody based on solely the fact that he’s a man, even if he’s better suited to care for the child. Men are sentenced to far harsher punishments than women. When women abuse and rape men, it’s rarely taken seriously, leading to them suffering in silence. When boys are raped by grown ass women, people will openly say things like “he probably wanted it” or “lucky kid”. GENITAL MUTILATION. Tell me how any of that is privilege! That’s not fucking privilege. That’s the opposite. I won’t say women are in no way oppressed, but male privilege is the biggest crock of bullshit I’ve ever heard and I HATE that it’s just accepted as fact. No.
