so almost everyone i’ve talked to who watched teletubbies as a kid and hasn’t watched it since remembers them as saying words and speaking in full sentences but they don’t. they say their names and they say eh oh (hello) and I think a couple other really basic things but otherwise they just kind of make weird noises. i’ve also watched this show with tiny children and they seem to understand what the teletubbies are saying so my theory is that the makers of teletubbies have figured out how to speak baby and are communicating via teletubbies to the worlds children
