im very uncomfortable in general with artists whos whole shtick is “cutesy children things! but instead it’s bad and edgy!” like.. theres a lot of different manifestations of this (ex. melanie martinez, “realistic” drawings of cartoon characters that are bloody and grotesque, some 20+ year old trying to emulate children’s crayon drawings except it says “i hate you” or some other stupid shit, etc) but it’s always bad and annoying
