My take on the ~Cops at Pride~ discourse:

If you’re an LGBT cop you can go ahead and turn in your gay/trans card at your local LGBT center because you’re sure as hell not welcome

If your a gay cop that means you agree to enforce a landlords decision to evict someone for being gay/trans – if your a cop that means you agree to arrest queer people who are self medicating with drugs and ship them off to labor in prison or a for profit rehab – if you’re a cop you agree to arrest people for feeding homeless lgbt youth without a permit – if your a cop you’ve agreed to Enforce laws that Criminalize peaceful protest by lgbt people – if you’re a cop you’ve agreed to enforce the law no matter how unjust or cruel, you’ve agreed to look into the face of the people who need help the most in society and throw them into a system designed to force them into providing hard prison labor for others profit, if you agree to become a cop and you’re gay, you are a traitor to your community, you will work along side rapists and murderers who will get away with it because they’re cops, you see homeless gay youth sleeping somewhere inconvenient, trans sex workers with no other options, queers fighting back against being physically assaulted , and you see the system treats these attempts at just surviving as criminal acts and you still think that’s something worth aligning yourself with? You just think that if you join them it’ll never come back around to you, they’ll smile and ply alon with you until you get in their way, then you will be disposed of by them and you’ll get no sympathy from the community you betrayed
