there’s this really unfortunate paradox that happens when you have a minority/oppressed group like the LGBT whose big selling point is its “inclusivity” which is that oppressors will try to use that as justification for why they too should be “included,” thus destroying the entire point of having a group in the first place

a “group” that includes everyone (or almost everyone) is completely pointless, at least as far as social justice and political identity are concerned

so i guess what im saying is that while the spirit of LGBT does lie in inclusion and acceptance, a certain amount of exclusivity is not cruel but in fact necessary in order for the acronym to maintain any meaning at all

TO CLARIFY: This is not in reference to brown/black stripes on the Pride flag, intersectionality is a different thing entirely and absolutely deserves to be acknowledged imo
