Confession #3,984

Anyone else hate when abled people who know you’re disabled keep telling you ‘inspirational’ stories about other disabled people? I feel like I’m being told in a roundabout way that I’m not trying hard enough, not being a ‘normal’ enough disabled person that the ableds can pretend away…

“your great great grandma lost the use of her legs but she taught herself to walk again” lol cool story but the thing is great great grandma wasn’t paralyzed and she lived in excruciating pain until she died

Like…. She didn’t walk again because she had magic inner fortitude, she walked again because there weren’t any ramps or wheelchairs so she had to choose between chronic agony or living the rest of her life and dying alone in one room. That’s not inspiring for the reason you think it is

lesbians: *makes jokes about how certain hairstyles n clothing are a part of lesbian culture*

every gnc straight women in the vicinity: “hi, straight girl here! yes i have a shaved head and yes i wear plaid and guess what! im still straight. it’s almost like how u look doesnt reflect ur sexuality?? i love men and i love combat boots too! they’re comfortable! how dare u say that makes me a dyk- i mean lesbian?!”

straight people who adopt gay fashion cos they think it’s cool then get mad when people think they’re gay even though they’re literally flagging are a special kind of ugly 😂😂😂

are you really suggesting that some clothing articles belong to a certain group of people? are you saying that now i’ll be considered a lesbian if i wear plaid? y’all just bringing stereotypes back with this shit. like if a girl was wearing a short dress she’d be considered a slut, which she just might not be. now it’s lesbian “culture” to wear plaid and combat boots? :)) bish get outta here i’mma wear whatever the fuck i want and be straight as hell

I totally agree with you there

I mean i have shaved half my head of too, wear a lot of flannel bc they are comfy and look good and I am straight.

And I won’t stop wearing flannel or other mens clothes, just because it “apparently” means I’m a lesbian. It’s comfy and looks good so why Not?
