Beats per minute is a unit. The word you’re looking for is tempo.
If two songs have the same tempo, their bpm are equivalent.
You wouldn’t say two people of the same height have “the same inches.” You would say height. So stop saying two songs have “the same bpm” when you can just say tempo

The communities that will feel this change the most will be the already-marginalized. “Tumblr banning adult content is a huge loss for the LGBTQ community, especially those with overlapping marginalized identities,” Kitty Stryker, a queer porn performer and consent activist, told Motherboard in an email. “For many, that’s the one place we could find porn that represents us, made by indie performers who created their own content outside of an often racist, transmisogynist, fatphobic industry. Tumblr was where our content could exist without pushing us into the restrictions of a misogynist, male dominated workplace.”

About the new policy I think a lot of people misunderstood the difference between pornographic content and erotica content. Tumblr stipulates “Written content such as erotica, nudity related to political or newsworthy speech, and nudity found in art, such as sculptures and illustrations, are also stuff that can be freely posted on Tumblr ”.
So the real problem is the algorythm which flags randomly all kinds of content instead of pornography. I’m pretty sure they will improve and work on this problem and a policy can improve. But I understand this can scare people and make them Leave if they are going to be banned on the 17th of December.
I personaly prefer Tumblr to instagram because i find it better suited for visual content. The layout shows the images really small and in a unique square format, you can’t really see or admire an illustration in its details, that’s a pity, it doesn’t help or give as much importance to the work of artists in my opinion. To me instagram lacks personalization, reblog, to save the images as (without an exterior site), can’t zoom, or link in the conversation box etc…. In order to show my work, make a living I have to be on different platforms so I will be on instagram but I hope it’s not time for tumblr to die.

yeah i think a lot of people need to read the updated guidelines THOROUGHLY before just freaking out and deleting. it’s not actually that bad for art/writing guys
