DON’T LEAVE TUMBLR

I know it’s tempting to leave and migrate to Twitter or Deviantart or whatever place to put your content due to the new policies, but DON’T. Let me explain why:

when your space is invaded, do you leave and let them take it? or do you stay because it’s YOUR space.

Leaving Tumblr won’t solve anything. As nonchalant as the staff is, if we leave, the new policy will stay in tact and NOTHING will be fixed.

We have to stay right here and tell the staff to go fuck themselves (Not literally, don’t harass the staff with threats or something) and do whatever we can to let them know their rules ain’t shit. Fix it.

it could take awhile. Weeks, a month, but we HAVE to kill this new policy.

Make petitions, videos, posts, but DO NOT LEAVE TUMBLR until they learn how to fix their shit.

@staff could you actually fix your shit instead of flagging and deleting every depiction of humans regardless of context. I have a blog where pictures of people who are hugging, driving, or just modeling clothes have been flagged and I assume are set to be taken down. I never comment on anything but this is lazy bullshit.

I agree that people should stay and try and fight this as best they can, but ALL THE SAME. Save things. Archive things on other sites as best as you can. Start deleting your NSFW posts and making sure your blog is as clean as possible. It will be very hard to stay on Tumblr to fight this if they just Thanos snap you right away because you had a single thing that vaguely resembled a female presenting nipple.

Fight this bullshit Catholic rule, but don’t be an idiot about it. Backup the stuff that is important to you, and have backup social media platforms so that people can contact you if you or they get purged.

WONDERFUL addition! make sure to save your stuff just to be safe

I’ll be making new accounts elsewhere but I’ll still be here and posting NSFW as it comes up (just less than my planned spree) until I get shut down. But I refuse to be driven out of my own space without some kind of a peaceful protest.

to-do list: december

  • there is something coming at you, something that is larger than you have ever imagined. as soon as you sense it approaching, prepare. make sure you feel most comfortable. make sure you are energised. i’m most certain that you will do great. trust your gut feeling.
  • love the things you make. no matter what it is that you’ve completed; it’s your work. no matter if you share it with others or don’t – it’s up to you – be proud of yourself. it’s a part of you, and something that makes you even more unique.
  • know yourself. don’t set your limits too high or too low, you will break from the pressure you put onto your own shoulders. self-discovery is a journey, one you will never be able to end, but do appreciate everything you learn along the way.
  • love more than ever. smile more often than yesterday. the people around you are so kind, and so considerate, and they want the best for you. make them feel the same happiness you feel when seeing them.
  • the end of the year is approaching. take your time to reflect on how much you’ve grown this year. focus on the mistakes you’ve made and what you’ve learned from them. take pride in your achievements. you have flourished this year, and above all, you have survived.

when i reblogged this i didnt realize the ‘something coming at me’ was tumblrs anti h*rny scheme. damn. this december aesthetic really got me there

my absolute favorite thing is when your reblog is “flagged” it brings up a dialogue telling you that your reblog is in violation of ~the community guidelines” and you can click a button saying “learn more” or “okay” and “learn more” just directs you to a blank page
